I will admit off the bat that we are horrible about sitting our kids down for breakfast on school days! I decided to put together this post about 5 Fun School Morning Breakfasts to give myself a little motivation and to have fun doing this with ya’ll! Our oldest only has school three days a week but we get pretty used to cooking frozen waffles and eating them in the car. So this will be a good change!
At the beginning of the school year, everyone is so motivated! Making cute meals for breakfast and lunch, making sure the kids eat healthy… but when it gets closer to the holidays, I know we start to get lazy!
We have been busy with selling our house and meals are usually frozen or take out! Luckily, we have been trying harder to wake up early to make breakfast! The time change has actually been great! It helps us get up at 7 to start getting breakfast ready for the boys. This morning we had a yummy pancake breakfast … ON A MONDAY! It was fabulous.
Fun School Morning Breakfasts
Even though your breakfasts might still include frozen waffles, you can make it fun and balanced! Frozen waffles are just too easy for our big family!
1 – Berry Burritos with a side of yogurt raisins and cheerios
These are great because you can fill it with all kinds of berries! It’s a fun take on a crepe, especially when you add whipped cream on thee inside!
2 – Cheesy Eggs with a side of turkey sausage and tangerines
My boys love when we have cheesy eggs! It’s a fun meal to cook WITH them. They love scrambling the eggs and tossing the cheese into the pan for me!
3 – Apple Slices with a side of yogurt and peanut butter for dipping
Dipping is so fun! Plus, you can customize this with any kind of nut butter and yogurt! My oldest likes to just eat the yogurt and dip the apples in the peanut butter!
4 – Oatmeal with a side of toppings: dried cranberries and blueberries
Our older two boys don’t love oatmeal, but our youngest does! He LOVES oatmeal. They all love scooping the berries and craisins out of the yogurt with their spoons!
5 – Peanut Butter Toast with a side of apple sauce and strawberries
Again, this is great to customize with any kind of nut butters! We also like to use to squeeze pouches with applesauce a lot!
Re-play Recycled
Re-play sent us these fun white divided plates to feature in this post! We love using their plates and more! Their cups are amazing and I love that I can customize the colors of everything to match my kitchen! The bright colors are so fun too!
Visit their site and find out what their color of the month is this month! Re-play is amazing because their products are made using recycled material AND they can be recycled again after! We love supporting companies like this one!
