I love getting all dressed up during the holidays! It makes those holiday parties even more fun! Depending on my mood or how much I will be chasing my kids around, I like to decide whether I will fancy it up or dress a little more casual with some fancy accent pieces! I decided to give you three holiday styles you can use to inspire your Christmas party fashion.
We don’t do anything too crazy for Christmas since we don’t have our extended family with us here in Oregon. But there’s still something about getting dressed up for a simple Christmas family dinner. It makes me feel like a child getting all dressed up in my poofy Christmas dress and driving to Orange County to be with my dad’s side of the family on Christmas Eve. We had the BEST Christmas parties and my family made Christmas feel so magical. It’s different now but just as fun! We take the boys to Peacock Lane to look at Christmas lights, we go see the huge tree in Downtown Portland, and we come home and open our Christmas Eve box. The boys always get matching PJs, hot chocolate, and a Christmas movie.
Whether your holidays are like my old memory or my new one (or something completely different), it is so much fun to get a little festive with your style!
The Fancy
The fancy style has to include a dress, obvi. 😉 I don’t really like heels – plus it’s impossible to chase my two year old in them- so I love having booties that makes it a little more my style. If you decided to dress up all fancy, but it doesn’t feel like you, you’re going to be uncomfortable! This is how I make the fancy work for me. In this case, a pretty sweater dress with a killer neckline, black booties, and a fun choker!
Pinkblush is an ABSOLUTE FAV of mine. Their clothes are super adorable and they literally have something for every occasion. Plus, their maternity line is to die for! I pretty much live in their robe that I bought for labor with Little Ox #3. They have SO much variety and the quality of their clothes is wonderful. This dress was exactly what I was looking for and was even better than I had imagined once it arrive on my doorstep.

The Fancy-Cas
This in-the-middle style is fun because I paired a casual pant with a fancier top. I thought the simple gold pendant popped and added a level of sophistication as well. As always, the blanket scarf is a wonderful addition because it looks great with the black and can be used like a shawl for some extra warmth. I loved my laced boots with this look and I thought it meshed a fall and winter style together for a perfect holiday look.

The Casual:
The casual look is always a great mom style since I have to chase after two boys – while I am holding a third. Luckily a bright cardigan and a bold necklace can pick up any old casual mom look. This red cardigan is one of my favorites and I love wearing it around Christmas time. Plus, that pearl necklace is super bold and sophisticated and I love the way it perks up my casual striped tee that I love wearing all the time. That’s why my Rocksbox subscription is so cool! I can wear a few bold pieces with my casual “mom uniform” to make it look a little more put together and then send the jewelry back when I want new pieces!
