This quick blog space makeover was the perfect project! It helped me feel more organized and more motivated! My space was feeling crowded before and it always caused my mind to feel the same way. I caught myself grabbing my laptop and working on my blog on the couch instead. I didn’t like this! It left me feeling like I needed a creative space to work and focus on staying motivated.
This space changed that for me! I don’t have a designated office to work on my CFLE or blogging work, but I was able to make a space work for me. I love that it fits the flow of the room and it draws me to my work space instead of away from it.
The space turned out better than I had imagined and I love working in it. I am still debating on putting our large MAC desktop there but I seem to get more work done when I can do it quickly on the laptop. In the future I will be getting a fun desktop organizer from The Container Store!
My favorite parts of the space:
- My Young Living Aria Diffuser that has Peace and Calming in it around the clock.
- The big gold pineapple that my mom found for me at Ross.
- The Harry Potter book set on the bookshelf
- My hand lettered watercolor prints
- Those Metro Cards waiting to be taken back to NYC this week!
- My new favorite mint Lorena Canals rug to bring it all together
This blog space makeover allows me to have a space to work and connect with my baby. He gets to lay and roll around all over the rug while I work and we both breathe in peace from my oils. 🙂 I love that I can spend time with my boys and still have time to write and do what I love.
Here are some close ups of my projects for the blog space makeover:
These dishes were upcycled from these wood pineapples I found at a thrift store for $1!
I loved this transformation! It was so fun to make!
I love my fall mason jar – and next to it now is a wicker basket of mini white pumpkins! Ahh! SO pretty!
Just another shot of my adorable pineapples…
I am LOVING making watercolor prints and mixing in a little hand lettering! It is so much fun to be creative in that way even though it was something I didn’t enjoy when I was younger.
And I had to get in a few shots of the adorable rug that ties together the whole room!
Lorena Canals rugs are even all natural AND machine washable (which is so important for mamas!)
