8 Reasons Why You Should Have Ducks -

I am going to give you 8 reasons why you should have ducks. Recently my husband and I decided to move it into farm mode and buy 2 duckies! Then after we thought about it, we needed more. The more we read about it, we found out that the more you have, the better! Now we want a whole farm full of ducks (and goats, and pigs, and others…) but for now we have 4 adorable ducklings!

They are adorable (even when they grow up!)
Ducklings are soooo adorable and even when they get bigger ducks can be super cute!
They are so social and friendly
They are not mean and they are such social creatures! They have to be together or with someone or they get upset. They will follow you and cuddle too – which is a plus!
They are good for your yard
They will eat your weeds and bugs galore! They are natural foragers and they will even do it gently so it doesn’t ruin your yard. Not to mention the GREAT compost for your garden!
They have better eggs than chickens
Their eggs are bigger. They can lay year round AND more often. AMAZING for baking. MORE vitamin B12, protein, Iron, calcium, Omega 3 – you name it!
Water time is ALWAYS fun
They love love love love love the water . And they are the cutest things ever when they swim and play around in it.
Perfect for children (even toddlers!)
Seriously. My toddler has been loving doing chores and helping out by feeding them or adding straw to their beds. His favorite part is getting to herd them toward their coop or into the bath!
They are so entertaining
They are the funniest things ever when they run around. I caught them the other day running around my kitchen searching for food and picking up crumbs! and hey – less sweeping too! 😉
You will fall in love and they will love you back!
They are so sweet and love it when you stroke their bills. They will cuddle and make you fall in love with them. I would seriously have 100 already if my husband would let me!
