Life with 2 before 3 is quite interesting! With less than 9 weeks to go, it is fun to observe life as it is now and imagining how different it will be in just a short time.
My baby wont be my baby anymore and I know he is not ready for that. Luckily the older one is very excited!
The other day I was having regular contractions. They weren’t getting closer together but they weren’t going away and the nurses told me to come in to labor and delivery. Even though I was pretty sure my baby wasn’t coming that day, it made me realize how close we are and how much things will change whenever our little one arrives! I have never made it to any of my due dates so it isn’t crazy to think that this one will be early too (though luckily not THIS early)!
We have been enjoying our days outside and I love watching my boys play together. Even though most of the time is spent stopping them from screaming because the other is touching “their” toy. I have heard that the transition from 2 to 3 kids is one of the hardest. I am relaxing and soaking up as much as I can before my baby becomes a big brother.
With less than 9 weeks to go, I am trying to prepare the boys for their new sibling. Of course the older one is so so excited and love to remind me how big I am getting.
Side note: the big one is learning well from his daddy and loves to bring me flowers ALL the time. He will also hold my door open for me! He is one of the sweetest and most polite 3 year olds I know! He’s got an awesome daddy to take after, so that helps! 🙂
Here is what I have gathered as my time as a mom of two slowly comes to a close:
- Hubby and I will soon be outnumbered and that kinda terrifies me!
- I love holding my two boys at the same time and my giant belly is preparing me that I can no loner hold all my littles at once
- Time goes by faster the more children you have
- The older ones can be so sweet and helpful (I know #1 will be so helpful when #3 comes)
- Cherish fun moments
- Take time with your littles individually as often as you can
- Prepare the younger ones! (We like to use baby dolls!) Like this one!
- Have fun and let them be little because they grow up too much when they become the big brother or sister!
Take time to enjoy this day and remember you will never ever get it back!
