For the 4 season themes – I planned to do them on the week of that season change. This is the Fall Season Theme!
I was so excited for this theme and Josiah liked it a lot better than I expected him to! This was another one that I found tons of activities for. I tried not to make it too close to what our Thanksgiving theme will be, so we focused on the season/weather changes, the changing and falling leaves, and the harvest.
We did a lot of fun worksheet and some tracing and writing practice as well. However, the activity that we found the most fun was going outside and looking for different color leaves. We grabbed a ziplock bag and went outside to find as many color leaves we could find. We were also able to find pine cones and different types of leaves to make a craft!
We attempted to make a fall craft with the leaves we found! We taped them to pieces of paper and painted over them. Then once we finished painting over them, we took the leaves off and had a sweet fall silhouette painting. The amazing thing about this is that they could be as messy as they want as long as your leaves are taped or glues down tight!
We weren’t able to do a fun snack this week but if we had time, I wanted to do this adorable edible craft on See Vanessa Craft!
For some reason, I do not have pictures of our leaf hunt, but we found the idea and printed and laminated cards, from KCedventures.com
Josiah had so much fun with that! Him and daddy Ox when outside together and matched up colored leaves with the laminated color cards!
His other favorite activity was a number matching activity. We didn’t use this exact one, but we got the idea from Mom Inspired Life’s post here!
As always, puzzles will also keep this boy busy for hours! AND it is so easy to find fun pictures to laminate and cut up for puzzle time!
Check out these awesome cookie cutters *we are getting so we can still do that yummy edible craft for Halloween or Thanksgiving!
I hope you enjoyed this week’s theme! Check back soon for the amazing dinosaur theme!!

I love your ideas to welcome fall! My kids are 1 and 3 and we also collected leaves outside and did some basic leaf prints with crayons. My kids absolutely love collecting leaves.

I remember collecting leaves when I was a kid! however, it was in Florida so my fall was in December and January but still! I had so much fun collecting them and ironing them in between wax paper and looking at all the veins and learning about the colors! Thank you for linking up with us at the Tips and Tricks link party! I cannot wait to see what you have for us this week!
