Every now and then I like to do a little post about life. It allows me to share my children and my heart with you.
First of all – Little Ox #2 turned FOUR months old a few days ago!
He is getting so big! (p.s. I love his chubby little thighs!) He is practically in 9 month clothes and weighs a whopping 15.5 pounds! He LOVES eating. Sometimes he is crying all day unless his big brother is talking to him, he is sleeping, or he’s eating. He can roll over from tummy to back AND back to tummy. AND on top of that…
Big brother put his toys in front of him and he thought he was big enough to start trying to crawl toward them! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw him tuck his knees under and start to try to push up! He is way too little for that! He loves to talk and to smile at almost everyone he sees. His joy and laughter remind me so much of Little Ox #1!
Speaking of… HE loves to breastfeed his baby after he sees mama doing it! I have to get a picture every time because it is just too adorable.
I was able to get a beautiful 20-30 minutes of alone time today and it was delightful. I cleaned up a bit and then sat down on my bed and soaked in the peace and quiet. This introverted mama loves those little moments to recharge alone – even just for a few minutes.
After I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths I began to thank Jesus for my wonderful life and my wonderful children.
I sat there and was able to start reading my Bible. I have been reading through the book of John and something today stood out to me that I wanted to share.
“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor the will of the flesh nor the will of man, but of God” (John 1:-12-13)
I am so thankful to be His child and that I have received “grace upon grace” because I cannot imagine how my life would have ended up if it weren’t for His Grace.
I get to have this amazing husband who showers me with love unending. Someone who makes me laugh and who I literally have so much fun with – no matter what we are doing. I know our relationship is from God because of our ability to communicate effectively with one another and the fact that our love and closeness grow daily.
Because of that Grace upon Grace, I get to have two amazing boys that brighten up my life, who remind me not to take life too seriously, but also remind me that life is fleeting. Their trust and love that they show me remind me how I need to trust my Father in Heaven as His child, too.
Thanks for letting me share my heart with you.
